5 Natural Eye Makeup Removers You Should Know

Eye makeup may contain chemical-based ingredients that expose your face throughout the day. Ready-to-use makeup removers can easily get rid of those cosmetics, but they also contain chemicals. If you need to switch to something healthier, applying natural eye makeup removers can be the best method. Some of the best solutions you can use are listed as follows.

1. Yogurt

Yogurt is inexpensive and easy to find. It is not only a healthy food, but also an effective eye makeup remover. You can actually use yogurt to remove all-over cosmetics, so it is not only for eye makeup removal. For this purpose, you will need to spread plain yogurt (unflavored) all over your face or eye areas. As you wash your face, the remaining makeup will be removed together with the yogurt.

In some cases, yogurt can even do better than other facial cleanser products. Please remember to wash your face thoroughly because yogurt is a potential breeding ground for bacteria.

2. Milk

It is actually strange that you can use milk for eye makeup remover. Milk is basically a type of drink and loaded with nutrients. Milk is made of various ingredients that are safe for you to consume, so it must be safe to apply to facial skin, too. In fact, skin is able to moisturize, soften, and freshen up the skin.

To make a makeup removal solution, you need to mix a tablespoon of milk with several drops of almond oil. Apply the solution to your face or eye areas then wash thoroughly.

3. Cucumber

If you cannot find almond oil, a mix of milk and cucumber also makes one of the most effective natural eye makeup removers. Simply blend a cucumber until it becomes a paste, and then add half a cup of milk into it. Simmer the mixture for approximately ten minutes then wait until its temperature is cold enough for you to use. Such solution can last for a week, so you can even make a large quantity of it in a single process.

4. Grapeseed Oil

You can also use certain essential oils as makeup removers, for example grapeseed oil. This compound has very soft texture and non-allergenic properties, so it is good even for sensitive skin. Thanks to its non-greasy texture, people with oily skin can use it, too. Another good thing is that grapeseed oil is almost odorless.

5. Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot kernel oil is as good as other natural eye makeup removers. It can spread easily all over the facial skin and is good for all skin types. As a matter of fact, you can still use apricot kernel oil safely even when you have inflamed, sensitive, or aged skin problems.
